These FAQs serve as a general guideline for guests attending the Affordable Flying Expo including ticket sales, camping, and general information. These guidelines may change due to event logistics or schedule changes. We will do our best to keep this information as up-to-date as possible.

Attendees
Q: Where is the General Auto Parking located? What is the venue’s address?
A. Main Address: 4075 James C. Ray Dr., Lakeland, Florida 33811. Signs and volunteers will be posted to direct traffic to designated parking areas during the expo.
Q. What are the event dates and times?
A. November 6 to 8, 2025. Expo Hours – 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Please check website schedules for additional event details).
A. Exhibitors and attendees are invited to stay at the SUN ‘n FUN campground onsite for a discounted rate of $35/night. For more information please visit our Camping Page, or visit our Accommodations Page for hotel and RV rental options.
Q. Can I bring a chair?
A. Yes.
Q. Can I bring a wagon?
A. Yes, small wagons are permitted.
Q. Can I bring a cooler?
A. No, coolers are not allowed inside the expo. They are only permitted in the expo campground.
Q. Can I bring a golf cart?
A. No, personal golf carts are not allowed inside the expo – golf carts are reserved for official use only. Personal golf carts are permitted in the expo campground only, with parking offered outside the expo.
Q. Can I bring a pop-up tent, or a large umbrella?
A. No, pop-up tents and large umbrellas are not allowed due to safety concerns, as they can obstruct views and are a blow-away hazard.
Q. Can I bring my camera?
A. Yes! Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras.
Q. Can I bring my water bottle?
A. Yes, personal water bottles are allowed. Water stations and fountains are available throughout the campus.
Q. Are Pets Allowed?
A. Pets are allowed in campground areas only (not on airside) and must be kept on a leash. Pets are not allowed on the Fly-In Expo site. Service animals are welcome, but they must also be leashed. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. If your pet is sensitive to loud noises, please leave them at home. Aggressive animals and their owners will be asked to leave.
Q. What items are prohibited on the Affordable Flying Expo Site?
A: The following items are not allowed on the Expo Campus:
- Roller skates, roller blades, skateboards, hoverboards, segways, or any self-propelled devices, except for electric or mobility devices used for disabilities.
- E-bikes and high-seat trikes.
- Bicycles (only allowed in the campground area, not on airside).
- Unauthorized vehicles, weapons (except for concealed weapons with a valid permit), fireworks, explosives, or any flammable products.
- Destructive devices or illegal substances.
- Drones, remote-controlled vehicles, and other such devices.
- Alcohol (unless in designated areas).
- Oversized backpacks.
- Offsite food or beverages, except in campground areas.
Q. Are there designated smoking areas?
A. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only and is marked onsite and on the convention map. Smoking is NOT permitted on airside or around aircraft.
Q. What other things are there to do in the area after my visit to the Affordable Flying Expo?
A. All attendees of the Affordable Flying Expo are granted free admission to the Florida Air Museum. For more local events and attractions please visit www.visitcentralflorida.org.
Q. Is Handicapped Event Parking Available?
A. Handicapped parking is available. Follow signs for general parking. Be sure to display your handicap parking pass in your windshield.
Q. How can I contact Handicap Services during the Aerospace Expo/Fly-In?
A. Locate the nearest volunteer or event staff member for assistance.

Q. How can I host an exhibit, give a presentation, or teach a workshop at the Affordable Flying Expo?

Camping
Q. When does the campground open for the Affordable Flying Expo?
A. Nov. 3 – Nov. 9, 2025 – Camping fees will be collected from the date of arrival through the date of departure. Visit our camping page for more information.
Q. How can I register for a camp site at the Expo Campground?
A. Please visit the SUN ‘n FUN Campground page and use code AFE2025 at checkout to reserve your stay at a discounted rate.
Q. What if I have a Camper Rental Company delivering a camper to the site?
A. If a camper rental company is making a delivery for you, they must have your name and ticket information to bring the rig onto the site unless you plan to meet them upon arrival.
Q. What Amenities are available in the RV/Tent campground?
A. Amenities include water spigots (no permanent hook-ups), dump stations; showers, port-a-potties, and special events. PUMP-OUTS are available for purchase by contacting Campground Hosts. Wi-Fi only available in some areas, contact Campground Hosts for assistance.
Q. What is allowed in the Campground?
- Pets are welcome in the campground only. Service animals are an exception. Pets must be leashed at all times. Please clean up after your animals.
- Bicycles are allowed in the campground only.
- Personal Golf Carts allowed in the campground only. Drivers must obey all posted speed limits and have a valid driver’s license.
- Attendees must adhere to all campground rules.
- Contained charcoal or gas grills are allowed in the campground only. Absolutely no ground fires permitted.
